Summary
The Cuenca Public Mobility Company (EMOV EP) equipped 15 4x4 pickup trucks as high-tech operational patrol vehicles. Through integration by Sociedad Civil Importadora JR, Bolide mobile video surveillance solutions were implemented, consisting of vehicle video recorders (MVRs), exterior perimeter cameras, and interior cabin cameras. This strengthens the preservation of evidence during traffic operations, increases transparency in citizen interaction, and guarantees continuous monitoring under demanding terrain conditions.
The Challenge
Point 1: Lack of a robust Mobile Video Recorder (MVR) system with secure storage against vibrations, high temperatures and weathering, critical for 4x4 patrol vehicles.
Point 2: Perimeter blind spots and lack of objective visual recording in vehicle control operations or night/day pursuit.
Point 3: Need to have audio and video backup inside the cabin (interior camera) to audit the procedure of the agents, protect the rights of the operational staff and safeguard legal evidence in case of disputes or arrests.
