Executive Summary
Ensuring security in government buildings requires inspection systems capable of detecting threats without compromising visitor privacy or disrupting daily operations.
CRUANT developed a comprehensive non-intrusive inspection solution by integrating Mantis 6040 X-ray systems, CEIA walk-through metal detectors, and the Bolide video surveillance platform, consisting of NVRs and IP cameras with intelligent analytics.
The result is a flexible, modular, and scalable solution that adapts to different operational scenarios throughout the facility while providing centralized monitoring, local evidence recording, and efficient operations.
The Challenge
The project required an adaptable security architecture capable of supporting different inspection points throughout the facility, allowing either complete or simplified configurations depending on each area's operational requirements.
The main challenges included:
- Non-intrusive inspection.
- Integration of X-ray systems, CEIA metal detectors, and Bolide intelligent video surveillance.
- Centralized monitoring over the LAN network.
- Local recording at each inspection point.
- Easily relocatable operator stations
The Bolide Solution
CRUANT designed a modular architecture by integrating industry-leading physical security technologies.
Mantis 6040 X-ray Systems
The X-ray systems inspect backpacks, luggage, boxes, bags, briefcases, and other personal belongings without opening them, improving access flow while increasing threat detection capabilities.
CEIA Walk-Through Metal Detectors
CEIA metal detectors complement the inspection process by identifying weapons and other prohibited metallic objects using multiple detection zones and visual alarms.
Bolide Video Surveillance
Bolide cameras were physically integrated into the inspection stations developed by CRUANT, enabling operators to simultaneously view X-ray images and intelligent video surveillance events.
This integration serves two key objectives:
- Visually identify every individual entering or leaving the building.
- Associate each person with the luggage, backpacks, boxes, bags, containers, and other items inspected through the X-ray tunnel.
This creates complete inspection traceability by linking the individual's visual identity, inspected belongings, and events generated by the metal detection system.
CRUANT Engineering
The platform integrates Mantis X-ray systems, CEIA metal detectors, and Bolide video surveillance into a single solution featuring centralized monitoring, distributed recording, and modular operator stations.
